Match of the day: Last Battle & Tommy Lasorda Baseball | Segaiden 91

Watch on Youtube

Youtube Video Description:

Mo' Genesis, mo' problems. Actually, the problem here is that these games NEED to be a bit mo' to really sell the idea of Sega Genesis as a meaningful upgrade. Aside from the superficial route map that dictates progression in Last Battle, neither of these games offer meaningful enhancements over similar 8-bit works that had come before—heck, Tommy Lasorda Baseball feels like a massive step DOWN from Baseball Stars on the humble NES. That isn't to say either game is bad or should be erased from history or anything, but I feel like Sega's marketing led us to expect a bit more than this, you know?
