It's just a Fantasy, it's not the real thing: Fantasy Zone | NES Works 149

Youtube Video Description:

We continue our strange journey through the world of Sega games on NES with this Tengen release of a game published in Japan by Sunsoft. Except, well, this isn't actually the version of Fantasy Zone that Sunsoft put on Famicom overseas; for some reason, Tengen commissioned an entirely new port of the game rather than simply porting the existing one to an NES cartridge. What a bizarre choice! This version is pretty messy and really just serves to highlight the quality of the Master System release from three years earlier. Not one of Tengen's better moments, sadly.
