Where no handheld has gone before: Star Trek: Phaser Strike / Vegas $lot$ | Game Boy Works Gaiden 15

Watch on Youtube

Youtube Video Description:

Before Star Trek: The Experience hit Las Vegas, there was... Star Trek: Phaser Strike and Vegas $lot$ for Microvision. And, not unlike that future themed attraction, eventually it became too expensive to maintain and there was simply Phaser Strike and Vegas $lot$. As you might expect, there's not much substance and not much to say about these games, so I've spent a lot of this episode talking about why Star Trek ended up being the world's first licensed handheld video game. I also tried to capture the essence of the Vegas $lot$ experience by giving you a pure, unfiltered taste of its heart-pounding action. Please enjoy. Production notes: Video Works is funded via Patreon (http://www.patreon.com/gamespite) — support the show and get access to every episode up to two weeks in advance of its YouTube debut!
