This is a Japanese-language VHS release. For best results (assuming you don't speak Japanese), please activate YouTube's captions and set the language to auto-translate. A video rip of the third issue of Family Magazine's video companion series, which ran for a couple of years during the peak Bubble Economy days. This one begins with a whole lot of baseball, but it gets better. Plenty of RPG previews, and some world-famous tricks including possibly the first canonical appearance of the Final Fantasy II trick of beating up your party to accelerate leveling up and a ton of Super Mario Bros. 3. The video ends with something akin to a Let's Play of Super Mario 3 World 8. Also this episode, a new segment called Gag Reel which shows off glitches and goofs, including the infamous Super Mario Bros. "unchi" joke that makes it look like he's droppin' a deuce. 0:43 CONTENTS 1:21 PREVIEWS 1:27 Ganbare Pennant Race 5:25 Baseball Stars 7:24 Home Run Nighter: Penant [sic] League 9:27 Famicom Jump: Eiyuu Retsuden 12:00 Ultima: Quest of the Avatar [AKA Ultima II] 13:58 Hydlide 3 16:07 Rolling Thunder 17:28 Wagyan Land 18:57 JESUS 20:11 EYECATCH & TRAILERS 20:13 Famicom Jump 20:27 Super Mario Bros. 3 20:58 ULTRA TECHNIQUE 21:06 Final Fantasy II 21:24 Super Mario Bros. 3 22:51 Momotaro Dentetsu 23:11 Hanjuku Hero 23:29 Pachinko Grand Prix 23:41 Super Dynamite Badminton 23:49 GAG REEL 24:21 PC ENGINE FAN 24:28 Tengai Makyou: Far East of Eden Ziria 26:51 Wonder Momo 28:29 Dungeon Explorer 29:51 MEGA DRIVE FAN 29:29 Phantasy Star II 32:19 EYECATCH & TRAILERS 32:21 Akira 32:43 JESUS 33:08 GAME CENTER 33:12 Operation Thunder Bolt 36:42 EYECATCH & IN-DEPTH TECHNIQUE 36:50 Super Mario Bros. 3 World 8 Runthrough 43:44 Outro Recorded from a JVC Super VHS video deck and upscaled to 720p via Retrotink 5X. Note that this upload includes a couple of brief skips/gaps due to the age and condition of the video tape, which lost sync in two spots—nothing essential, though. You may freely use portions of this video for your own work as needed! All I ask for my efforts in getting this material online is a small source credit in your video or footnotes.
