The red sky tells its tale: Super Thunder Blade & Space Harrier II | Segaiden 90

Watch on Youtube

Youtube Video Description:

The searing skies and surrealistic landscapes of the Fantasy Zone (but not OF Fantasy Zone, if you know what I mean) return on Genesis for its first original game, more or less. Sega's two launch titles for the Japanese Mega Drive showed up on day one for Genesis as well, demonstrating the company's commitment to making this console a true arcade-to-home experience. Unfortunately, as these games demonstrate—especially Super Thunder Blade—the best plans etc. etc. Nevertheless, they were technically impressive for their time, and Space Harrier II even managed to be good enough to be worth playing today. (I am aware that my CRT has a discoloration in the corner. You don't need to tell me to degauss it—it's an internal alignment issue and pro-grade degaussing has had no effect.)
